Journey Workspaces 23.04 is now generally available. This release introduces many exciting new Workspaces features and enhancements, and a brand new Journey Applicants app. Highlights include:

  • The Workspaces application details screen has been redesigned, providing a clear demarcation between application- and task-level information.
  • We've added support for table row expansion on the list screen, allowing the display of additional information as a custom card.
  • We've made further enhancements to custom cards, and improvements in many other areas including error reporting and receipts.
  • Journey Applicants has been completely redesigned, supporting both desktop and mobile devices, with screen designs and workflows that better address the needs of applicants. For example, the UI/UX for uploading documents as part of the review process has been streamlined with applicants in mind.

Journey Workspaces applications require an environment running Journey Manager.

  • Journey Workspaces: Journey Manager 23.04 or higher
  • Journey Applicants: Journey Manager 23.04 or higher

The Journey Workspaces 23.04 application is deployed as an Open UX form using the command-line interface tool. When upgrading from Workspaces 20.05 or a later release, only minor changes to your existing configuration are required. However, if you're upgrading from an older release then you first need to migrate your configuration to work with the latest Open UX version of Workspaces. What is Journey Workspaces?

Journey Workspaces is a review and approval portal for bank staff, designed to support resolution and customer service activities for account opening and customer onboarding. Workspaces enhances the bank customer experience and improves banking staff productivity by increasing the efficiency and accuracy of the application review process, often a source of onboarding delays and customer dissatisfaction.

Journey Applicants is an authenticated portal for applicants which is aimed at providing a secure way for performing any follow-up actions, as part of the application process, and for keeping track of application progress

Journey Workspaces and Journey Applicants are integral modules of the Journey Manager platform, designed to create outstanding banking customer acquisition and onboarding journeys.


The Journey Applicants app introduced in the 22.04 release is now called Journey Engage. Journey Engage is a self-service portal allowing authenticated non-bank users to manage application creation, handle follow-up requests, and keep track of application progress.


Journey Operations, the new operations assistance portal, is now part of Journey Manager. For more information, refer to the Journey Manager 23.04 release notes.

Improved Modal Windows

Modal Window improvements include an optimized viewing area based on its content type.


Material Icons

Configuration now supports using any Material icons in Journey Workspaces and Journey Applicants.


Data Source improvements

Configure the Workspaces List screen using data from job properties in addition to the transaction metadata.


On-screen Configuration Editor

Improvements to the experimental on-screen Workspaces configuration editor including a preview of changes.
