Important

Before upgrading to this release (24.04), you must first upgrade your application to Journey Workspaces 23.10.4 which introduced important security changes to the 23.10 release. To learn more, see Upgrade Journey Workspaces from 23.10.x to 23.10.4.

Journey Workspaces 24.04 is now generally available. This release includes some exciting new features and enhancements. Highlights include:

Introduction of right-to-left (RTL) language support
iframe custom cards
Support for actions within custom cards
Support for status colors in custom cards
Enhanced timeline stepper that allows rules and filtering of steps based on occurrence
Improvements to session expiry, snackbar notifications, accessibility

Prerequisites

Journey Workspaces applications require an environment running Journey Manager.

Journey Workspaces: Journey Manager 23.10 or higher
Journey Applicants: Journey Manager 23.10 or higher
Journey Brokers: Journey Manager 23.10 or higher

Note

The Journey Workspaces 24.04 application is deployed as an Open UX form using the command-line interface tool. When upgrading from Workspaces 20.05 or a later release, only minor changes to your existing configuration are required. However, if you're upgrading from an older release, first you need to migrate your configuration to work with the latest Open UX version of Workspaces. What is Journey Workspaces?

Journey Workspaces is a review and approval portal for bank staff, designed to support resolution and customer service activities for account opening and customer onboarding.

Journey Applicants is an authenticated portal for applicants, aimed at providing a secure way to perform any follow-up actions as part of the application process, and to keep track of application progress.

Journey Brokers is a new app targeted at non-bank users, like brokers, who work for their clients to onboard them to a financial institution. Journey Brokers provides all the features these users need to create and manage applications on behalf of their clients.

Workspaces enhances the bank customer experience and improves banking staff productivity by increasing the efficiency and accuracy of the application review process, often a source of onboarding delays and customer dissatisfaction.

Journey Workspaces, Journey Applicants, and Journey Brokers form an integral module of the Journey Manager platform, designed to create outstanding banking customer acquisition and onboarding journeys.

What's new in this release?

The Workspaces 24.04 release includes many new features and improvements.

assignment_return	Right-to-left (RTL) layout	Introduced support for an optimized right-to-left (RTL) UI experience that automatically adjusts screen contents for locales that use a right-to-left script.
image	iframe Custom Card	A new type of iframe card for displaying web contents such as URLs, HTML, PDFs, or other image types within Workspaces.
touch_app	Custom Card Actions	The ability to call a custom action within a custom card that works like global custom actions.
widgets	Custom Card enhancements	A raft of new custom card enhancements: Allow end users to copy text from list type custom cards using a new “copy text” button. Added support for rendering images within the custom card links. Added support to set the status colours with “alert” type in custom cards.
warning	Session Expiry enhancements	Session expiry enhancements: A new alert mechanism to prompt users about upcoming session expiry. Added an option to set the redirection URL upon session expiry.
feedback	Snackbar Notification enhancements	The ability to cascade multiple snackbar notifications when there are multiple messages to display.
timeline	Timeline Stepper enhancements	Timeline stepper enhancements: Support for rules to control whether certain steps appear in the timeline stepper. Support for automatic step filtering based on their occurrence during the application processing journey.
rule	Rules / Permissions support for Mappings	Added support for setting up mapping field rules / permissions which take effect in the listing table and key info sections in addition to custom cards (already supported). Supported components: Permissions: List table, Key info card, and Custom cards Rules: Key info card and Custom cards
smartphone	Mobile Responsive Design enhancements	Enhancements to support a fully functional sub-table layout within the listing table for mobile devices.
