Features by Release

Each release of Maestro is shipped with new features and bug fixes to provide you with the best-in-class software and to accelerate business agility and improvements across the board.

24.04

Structure Tree Usability Enhancements
We've enabled searching for a field ID in the View pane while showing labels.
Initialize Event Hook
We've added a new component - Initialize Event Hook - with one-off create event that runs the onCreate rule when the object is created. Depending on where you drop this component on the form it will potentially run more times.
Additional Notification
We've added support to the Login pages' info panel to show to users the Maestro upgrade dates.
Components
We've introduced a new component - Configurable Text Input, which you can use as a replacement for Text Field component with text filtering enabled, thus preventing the input of invalid characters.

Maestro parallel development
We've added an information dialog, which alerts developers when form designs are opened and saved by other users.
Compare designs
We've introduced a Version Diffing tool to compare design versions.
Security
We've added support for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)Two-factor authentication (2FA), sometimes referred to as two-step verification or dual factor authentication, is a security process in which the user provides two different authentication factors to verify themselves to better protect both the user's credentials and the resources the user can access. Two-factor authentication provides a higher level of assurance than authentication methods that depend on single-factor authentication (SFA), in which the user provides only one factor -- typically a password or passcode. Two-factor authentication methods rely on users providing a password as well as a second factor, usually either a security token or a biometric factor like a fingerprint or facial scan. for Maestro that runs on the shared instances.

Build process
Added the Enable generating brand variables as CSS variables, conditions apply option to output CSS variables to a form during a form build process.
User notification
Added the Server Status tab to the Management Dashboard to display a status of a Manager server.
Added support to show all users, who have a current design open, in the Maestro editor.
Security
Added support to auto logout Dashboard and show session has ended in the Maestro editor.

Libraries
Upgraded the Font Awesome library to version 5.15.4 from 4.5.0, so many new icons are now available in the icon picker in the rich text editor.
Updated 3-rd party libraries and dependencies, including support for ECMAScript 2019.
Components
Improved accessibility in several included widgets.
Enhanced the validation framework to properly include component validation on pages that were not visited.

Templates and brands
Introduced the new Avalon Template, which replaces the Maguire template, and brings a more modern look and feel and encapsulates common design pattern, helping to speed development time frames.
Improved white-labellingWhite-label software is software that is purchased by a company from a service provider and re-branded as its own. support so you can set up multiple brands in a single template much easier.

21.05

Maestro Dashboard
To improve the management of users' organizations, projects, forms, form versions, libraries, and resources, we've added ability to select multiple resources and perform the available actions on them, such as delete, export and publish.
You, as a form developer, can now delete published projects, forms and form designs from the Maestrodashboard as you may not have access to the Managerdashboard on the shared environment.
We've introduced the Upload new Resources button to the library resource list so you can easily add a resource to your project.
Components
We've added support to have a " " (space) as the thousand separator to the Decimal, Percentage and Currency Field components.
Maestro editor
We've added the ability to copy and paste a block of content from one form to another. It only works in a Chrome browser or any Chromium including Microsoft Edge.
We've added an Icon PickerThe Icon Picker is a selection dialog allowing you to pick an icon from the range of images shipped with Maestro. in the rich text editor, which is used in many component's properties, for example a label.
We've added support for scrolling through the entire list of Brand options (Branding for Form) to find a required configuration without clicking on each individual entries.
Security
We've updated all required libraries to harden our software security.
