Journey Maestro defines a project as an entity that contains forms, components, templates, receipts and project level libraries, along with all relevant resources, such as styles, images, fonts, and scripts. A projects belongs to an organization. Each organization can have many projects.

A project is the second tier in the organization structure, which enables you to configure forms and resources on the project level, and override the organization level resources, for example, a style.

All project level assets are stored in one of the following folders within the project:

  • Forms - contains all available forms in the project. It is the development area for forms, from here you can create new forms or edit existing forms. Once forms are ready to be deployed, the form version needs to be built and imported into Journey Manager.
  • Components - contains all editable components in this project. The components folder is the development area for components. It is from the components folder that you can create new components, share components or edit existing components. Components are not available to forms until they are published to a library.
  • Templates - contains all editable templates in this project. The templates folder is the development area for templates. It is from the templates folder that the Template Designer can create new templates or edit existing templates. Templates are not available to forms until they are published to a library.
  • Receipts - contains all editable receipts in this project.

You can edit assets within these project folders without affecting the published versions of these assets.

The Maestro Dashboard allows you create projects, check project configuration, as well as view project's designs. You can also perform the following actions:

  • Rename a project

  • Enable automatic release upgrades for a project
  • Export a project
  • Import a project

If you are about to create the first business project in a new organization, you must set up the organization correctly beforehand. This ensures that all next projects your create will make use of the existing organization's resources. This promotes reuse of shared styles and components as well as other benefits. After that, what you need to do is simply create a new form project as per business requirements.
