Add a Shared Style
MaestroThe UI design product. |
Form Builder | All versions
This feature is related to all versions.
Maestro allows you to add an existing shared style to a component, which you normally do after you created a new shared style.
To add a shared style to a component:
- Open a design in the Maestro editor.
- Select a component and click the Styles tab to view available shared styles. For more information, see the Styles pane.
- Click Add Shared Style.
- Select a style from the dropdown list.
If a style isn't available from the dropdown, it was probably created for a different type of component. To resolve this issue, see style availability.
- Click Save.
Add a Shared Style to Multiple Components
If you want to add the same set of styles to multiple components of the same type, you don't have to do it one-by-one. You can instead do it using a style created in a template.
To add a shared style to multiple components:
- Open a template in the Maestro editor.
- Add a style to one of the components, for example, change the background color of a Button component to red.
- Click Save to update the template
- Right click the component in the View pane and select Add Shared Styles to Every [Component]. In this example, Maestro will apply the red background color to all button element of the Button component type.
