Move a Shared Style

MaestroThe UI design product.  |   Form Builder |  All versions This feature is related to all versions.

Maestro allows you to move shared styles. The order in which the styles appear in the Styles tab can affect how the styles are rendered in a form. This is referred to as style precedence. You can, however, control the order of the styles by moving them up and down the list.

To move a shared style:

  1. Open a design in the Maestro editor.
  2. Select a component and click the Styles tab to view available shared styles. For more information, see the Styles pane.
  3. Right click a style.
  4. Click Move style up or Move style down.
  5. Click Save.

It's difficult to predict how style precedence will affect the appearance of a component. If the styles don't appear to be applied in the correct order, some trial-and-error will be required.

Note

If a style can't be moved up or down, such as when there's only one style in the list, these options will not be available.
