There are two ways to create a new form version for the existing form:

  1. From the Maestro editor.
  2. From the Maestro dashboard.

Create a new Maestro Form Version from the Editor

To create a new form version of an existing form from the Maestro Editor:

  1. Open the form in the Maestro Editor.
  2. Select Save dropdown arrow > Save as New Version.
  3. Enter a new version number.
  4. Enter a description.
  5. Click Save.

Since 17.10, the Temenos Journey Manager platform follows open source semantic versioning conventions. Following this convention, all new form version names are recommended to start at version 1.0-develop until they reach production. In versions of Maestro prior to 17.10, form versions are incremented by whole numbers (for example version 1, version 2, version 3, etc.).

Create Maestro Form Version from the Maestro Dashboard

To create a new form version of an existing form from the Maestro Dashboard:

  1. Navigate to the Forms folder of a project and select a form to see all existing versions of that form. Alternatively, you can expand the Navigator to see all versions of the selected form.
  2. Click New Version.
  3. Complete the Add a New Version dialog.
  4. Select a previous form version that you want the new version to be based on from the Based On Version dropdown list.
  5. Enter the version number you want to use for your new form version in the New Version field. You can also include a suffix that contains numbers and letters.
  6. Enter a description text to help organize the different versions of a form in the Description field.
  7. Click Create.

The new form version will be created, and its details will be displayed in the Maestro dashboard. The new form version will be listed under the form in the Navigator. With the version selected, click Edit to open the selected version in the Maestro editor.
