Transaction Actions Overview

The Operations portal provides a set of standard actions that expose core functionality for working with transactions and jobs.

The transaction-related actions available in the Operations portal are:

  • Abandon: Abandon the transaction for a submitted application.
  • Purge PII Data: Purge PII data from selected transactions.
  • Purge Transaction: Purge all data for selected transactions. For more information about purging transaction data, see Transaction Support Search > Transaction Purge.
  • Receipt: View (read-only) the receipt for a submitted transaction. For more information, see Receipts Overview and Receipt - View a Receipt.
  • Recover: Recover the transaction for an abandoned or withdrawn application. For more information about recovering transactions, see Make Abandoned Transaction Saved in Change Transaction Status, and Recover an abandoned application.
  • Resume: Re-open an application in the same form used to start the application. For more information, see Resume: Re-open an application form.
  • View Form XML: View (read-only) the transaction for an application that has been saved but not yet submitted. For more information, see Form XML Data.

Action Availability

Whether or not an action is available for a transaction is dependent on factors such as a transaction's form status and whether it is a review task. While all available actions can be performed from the Details screen, some actions can also be performed from the Listscreen as Shortcut Actions.

Action Availability
Abandon

The availability of Operations portal actions is dependent on transaction data, not the selected view. This action is available for transactions that satisfy the following condition.

  • Form Status is not one of the following: Abandoned, Completed, Expired, or .

When this action is available, you can perform it as a shortcut action on the List screen.

Purge PII Data

The availability of Operations portal actions is dependent on transaction data, not the selected view. This action is available for transactions that satisfy the following conditions.

  • Form Status is not one of the following: Abandoned, Completed, Expired, or .
  • The transaction is not a review task.
Purge Transaction

The availability of Operations portal actions is dependent on transaction data, not the selected view. This action is available for transactions that satisfy the following conditions.

  • Form Status is not one of the following: Abandoned, Completed, Expired, or .
  • The transaction is not a review task.
Receipt

The availability of Operations portal actions is dependent on transaction data, not the selected view. This action is available for transactions that satisfy the following condition.

  • The transaction has a receipt URL.

When this action is available, you can perform it as a shortcut action on the List screen.

Recover

The availability of Operations portal actions is dependent on transaction data, not the selected view. This action is available for transactions that satisfy the following conditions.

  • Form Status is Abandoned.
  • The transaction is not a review task.

When this action is available, you can perform it as a shortcut action on the List screen.

Resume

The availability of Operations portal actions is dependent on transaction data, not the selected view. This action is available for transactions that satisfy one or more of the following conditions.

  • Form Status is not one of the following: Abandoned, Assigned, Completed, Expired, or .
  • The transaction is assigned to a user.

When this action is available, you can perform it as a shortcut action on the List screen.

View Form XML

The availability of Operations portal actions is dependent on transaction data, not the selected view. This action is available for transactions that satisfy the following condition.

  • The transaction has submission XML.
