A user profile is comprised of a set of fields that are defined and maintained as user property types in Manager. Property types define user property scope.

Out of the box, Manager comes with a standard set of user profile fields where each corresponds to a predefined property type of the user property scope. Each user property type is available to all user profiles for maintaining a user’s contact details both in Manager (by an administrator) and the assigned form spaces (by a user).

Manager uses the following standard property types:

  • Email
  • Family Name
  • Given Name
  • Mobile

An administrator can customize a user profile by adding some new details that you want users to provide. This is done by creating a new property type with a property scope of User.

Note

Only update the contact details of a user via the user profile of a user account.

Administrators can update the Given Name, Family Name, Email, and Mobile details that are registered directly against a user account. However, these changes won't be automatically reflected in the corresponding fields against the default user profile because that user contact information is always sourced from the user’s default user profile and not from the contact details.
