User profiles contain various properties with different property types, but all these property types have the User scope. We call them user property types. Each user property type is available to all user profiles for storing and managing user’s contact details. These properties are managed by an administrators on the Journey Manager level and by users on the form spaces level.
Manager has the following standard property types of the User scope:
You can customize a user profile by adding new property types with a property scope of User. Typically, these details are that you want form users to provide.
You should always update user's contact details using a user profile of the user account.
Sometimes, you can update the Given Name, Family Name, Email, and Mobile details that are registered directly against a user account. However, these changes won't be automatically reflected in the corresponding fields against the default user profile because that user contact information is always sourced from the user’s default user profile and not from the contact details.
