Journey Manager (JM) The transaction engine for the platform.  |    System Manager / DevOps  |  22.10This feature was updated in 22.10.

A transaction is a fundamental element of Journey Manager, representing a user interaction with a form.

Manager distinguishes between the following transaction types:  |  22.10 This feature was introduced in 22.10.

  • Billable - transactions associated with customers and applicants
  • Non-Billable -transactions associated with business users
Note

Prior to version 22.10, these transaction types were called:

  • Internal - transactions associated with business users
  • External - transactions associated with customers and applicants

Manager allows you to configure transaction types on the form space and form version levels. This gives you fine-grained control of transaction licensing.

A transaction created as a result of a user submitting a form is referred to as a submission.

Each transaction follows a pre-defined life cycle that can vary for different transaction types. Of all transaction life cycles, the submission life cycle is most important, covering the path a user navigates through a form. As such, the form's design is key to ensuring the user has an ideal customer journey.
