Web Browser Support for Journey Maestro Forms

Journey Maestro includes features designed to ensure that forms built with Maestro work well on both desktop and mobile web browsers. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of supported web browsers, and that you keep your browser updated, especially by applying security patches. While you may be able to access forms built with Maestro using other browsers, there's no guarantee that everything will work, and you may not enjoy the same great user experience that is available when using supported browsers.


For running the Maestro design tool, including the Maestro editor, in a browser successfully, you need to check their system requirements.

Supported web browsers

Desktop browsers

Temenos Journey Manager supports Maestro forms being used on the following desktop browsers:

  • Apple Safari
  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Mozilla Firefox

Mobile browsers

Temenos Journey Manager supports Maestro forms being used on the following mobile browsers:

  • iOS 7 and later: Apple Safari, Google Chrome
  • Android 4.0 and later: Google Chrome and Samsung browser

The Google Search App (GSA) is not supported. You should use Google Chrome instead.

Maestro forms have been tested across a wide range of browsers on market-leading mobile devices including those from Apple, Samsung, and Google. However, the proliferation of mobile platform combinations (mobile device + OS + patches + browser) preclude us from testing Maestro form functionality against all mobile platform combinations.

You can expect that your Maestro forms will continue to work on supported devices and browsers as they did at the time they were created, even if the device or browser ceases to be supported.

Legacy web browsers and devices

Internet Explorer


Temenos Journey Manager no longer supports Maestro forms on Internet Explorer (IE). To learn more, see Update on TJM Support for IE11.

We have discontinued support for IE because Microsoft no longer provides security patches or fixes for IE browsers and this poses a significant security risk. Further, IE does not support modern security standards required for security transactions including:

For Journey Manager 4.3.3 and later, customers must explicitly configure their environments to support IE10, IE9, or IE8. The default Journey Manager configuration does not support these browsers. Customers enabling support for legacy browsers do so at their own risk.


If you're using TransactField App in a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) deployment model, we recommend testing Temenos Journey Manager forms against your target devices.

Microsoft Windows Phone

Microsoft Windows Phone 8 devices are not supported as these are end-of-life by Microsoft. Windows 10 Mobile phone devices are not supported as these have not been successful in the market and were scheduled by Microsoft to go end-of-life in 2019.
