Remove a Shared Style

MaestroThe UI design product.  |   Form Builder |  All versions This feature is related to all versions.

Maestro allows you to remove a shared style that was applied to a component in a template, so it is not available for anyone to use anymore. This is often the case when the shared style is no longer relevant or meaningful, for example, the new look and feel of an organization.

To remove a shared style from a component:

  1. Open a template in the Maestro editor.
  2. Select a component and click the Styles tab.
  3. Expand Selected Styles to view available shared styles. For more information, see the Styles pane.
  4. Click the X icon next to the name of a style you want to remove.
  5. Click Save. The style will disappear from Selected Style.
  6. Add a new style to the component, save it and re-publish for the changes to take effect.
warning

If a shared style was manually added as an override on the form level, this method of removing of the style may not work. This is why we always recommend applying styles in a template.

Alternatively, you can remove only a specific element of the style within a shared style you will continue to use.

To remove a specific element of a shared style:

  1. Open a template in the Maestro editor.
  2. Select a component and click the Styles tab.
  3. Update the style as needed.
  4. Save and publish the template so that the updated shared style to take on that change throughout your forms.
