Tag a Form Version

MaestroThe UI design product.  |    Form BuilderPlatform Developer |  17.10 This feature was introduced in 17.10.

Maestro allows you to tag a design, such as a form version, that is handy when you reach a certain point in a form development and want to lock down changes so they can't be modified.

To tag a design:

  1. Open a project from the Management Dashboard.
  2. Select a design you wish to tag.
  3. Click New Tag to populate the tagged version details.
  4. Select a version of the design to tag from the Based On Version dropdown list.
  5. Enter a design version in the New Version field or leave it as Maestro prefills it for you. This is a recommended approach.
  6. Provide a meaningful description in the Description field .
  7. Click Create.

From the Versions list, you can see a check mark in the column next to the tagged version. If you open the tagged version in the Maestro Editor, you can see the read-only text at the top of the form. In the read-only version, you notice that you are not able to add new components to the form, and there is no option to save any changes you make.
