What's New in Journey Manager 24.04.1 Maintenance Release

The TJM 24.04.1 minor release is a maintenance release which has also been backported to the 23.10, 23.04, 22.10, 22.04, 21.11, 21.05, 20.11 and 20.05 versions.

This release is not just a routine bug fixing software upgrade; it mainly focuses on the performance improvements in the following key areas:

• The Workspaces query enhancements.
• The Data Retention Management v2 service improvements.
• The Database integrity checker.

Let's look at each of these improvements in detail:

Workspaces PII Subquery Performance Enhancement

Further enhancements have been applied to Journey Manager to more efficiently execute and scale a wide array of requests from Workspaces.

This results in improved response times and less load on the server.

This feature can be enabled by turning on the 'Enhanced PII Search' within the Form Space.

Data Retention Enhancements

We've created a new version of the Data Retention Management v2 service, which provides more efficient purging processes and added resilience to issues caused by bad data.

These improvements will help prevent abnormal database growth that often leads to performance degradation and improve the performance of the Transaction Processor when run within.

We have also added more visibility through enhanced logging that help narrow down the individual steps during the data purging process.

The Data Retention Management v2 service is not set as the default service for the Data Retention Management type, so you must make it default before you start using it.

Database Integrity Checker

We've improved the Database integrity checker to allow the option to automatically remove detected orphaned records from the database. The feature that detects and removes orphaned records has been backported to all support versions of TJM.
