Job Groups

Journey Manager (JM) The transaction engine for the platform.  |    System Manager / DevOps  |  17.10 This feature was introduced in 17.10.

Manager uses several predefined groups to restrict access to collaboration jobs. These groups are:

  • Job Coordinator 1 - job coordinator 1 group.
  • Job Coordinator 2 - job coordinator 2 group.

You can use them in the Reviews tab of form spaces to:

  • Control a job coordinator’s access to collaboration jobs.
  • Allow a job coordinator to filter and search collaboration jobs.

A job group can be created:

  1. Automatically - Manager creates a collaboration job when it is run for the first time and the job group is:
    • Specified in collaboration job's job definition.
    • Not already created in Manager.
    Note

This is the recommended method to create a job group.

  2. Manually - you create it using the Job group type.

These job groups should match the job groups defined in the job definition of the collaboration job. In either case, whether job groups are created automatically or manually, the job groups will need to be assigned to the correct job coordinators’ user account. so it appears as an option in the job coordinator’s Job Groups dropdown list in the Reviews tab
