Import Maestro Forms

MaestroThe UI design product.  |   Form Builder |  All versions This feature is related to all versions.

Maestro allows you to export and import forms, so you can reuse them across different projects, organizations or environments. This saves you time and effort, as you don't need to create a new form from scratch. This process is also commonly used to migrate forms from one environment to another. You can use this functionality to:

  • Rollback one or several forms
  • Re-create one or several forms in another Maestro
  • Promote one or several forms to other environments

To import a form:

  1. Open a project in the Navigator pane where you want to import a form to and click Forms to view the list of forms created in your project.
  2. Click Import Form and choose a form archive ZIP file.
  3. Note

You can import a single form version, which was exported using the Export Versions functionality, only if there is no existing form version in a project.

    Note

If you have imported a form to the same organization and the project, the form name will have the same name as the original but with an added suffix, for example, "-1", to differentiate it.

In case of an error during the import, you can choose one of the following options to proceed:

    • Click Create New to create a new copy of this form.
    • Click Update Existing to update an existing form with the same name.
  4. Select the imported form in the Navigator pane and click Details to update the Name and Description of this form.
