ClamAV Attachment Virus Scanning Service

Manager allows you to configure the ClamAV Virus Scanning service to check files for viruses using ClamAV antivirus software. You can also chose another antivirus software to use depending on your requirements.

Note

Depending on your Journey Manager provisioning, you have certain antivirus software available to you, so check Manager installation guide for details.

To configure the ClamAV Virus Scanning service:

  1. Configure ClamAVClam AntiVirus (ClamAV) is a free, cross-platform and open-source antivirus software toolkit able to detect many types of malicious software, including viruses. One of its main uses is on mail servers as a server-side email virus scanner. The application was developed for Unix and has third party versions available for AIX, BSD, HP-UX, Linux, macOS, OpenVMS, OSF (Tru64) and Solaris. engine.   2. Configure the ClamAV Virus Scan service connection.
  3. Select Services > Core Global Services.
  4. Locate the ClamAV Virus Scan service and click Edit.
  5. Select the Service Definition tab.

  6. Select the Service Type Default checkbox to activate this service, which will be used as the default service for the virus scan type.
    Note

    There can be only one default service for each service type and only Global Services can be marked as the default ones.

    Note

    To deactivate a virus scanning service, clear the Service Type Default checkbox

  7. Click Save to update the changes.
