MaestroThe UI design product. | Form Builder | All versions This feature is related to all versions.
Maestro allows you to import designs, such as forms, receipts, templates and components, which is handy when you want to move or copy them to different environments. Once a design has been exported, you can import it either back into the location it came from or a new location.
Maestrocomponents belong to Maestro assets and resources. When you create a new component, it is stored in a project you are working in. However, you can move or copy it to other projects by exporting and then importing a component. This is a simple way of reusing the component. For more information, see shared components.
When moving or copying a component, be aware that the component is not available within the project until it is published into a library.
If you have imported the entire project or the library, the published version of the components in the imported project is already available. However, if a component is imported on its own, you need to publish it first, so it is available to forms within the project.
To import a design:
It is important to import the design into the correct location. For example, if you export a form, you must import the form into the project's form folder.
You can't import a form into the template's folder.
If a design with the same name already exists, a number will be added to the end of the design name. You can always edit this name in the Details tab.
