View User Login History

Manager allows you to view a list of all login attempts by each user or all users.

To view a user's login history:

1. Select Security > User Accounts.
2. Locate a user account and click Edit.
3. Select the Login History tab to see each login attempt and its details:



• Event Type is the status of the login attempt.

  A user login event type can be one of the following:

  • Account Locked Temp.
  • Login Failure.
  • Log Out.
  • Login Success.
  • Password Reset.
  • Session Expiry.
• Time is the date and time of the login attempt.
• Portal is the space or portal a user accessed or attempted to access.
• Session ID is a user's session IDSession ID is a unique number that a Web site's server assigns a specific user for the duration of that user's visit (session). The session ID can be stored as a cookie, form field, or URL (Uniform Resource Locator). Some Web servers generate session IDs by simply incrementing static numbers. of the login attempt.
• IP Address is a user agent's IP addressIP address is a unique string of numbers separated by full stops that identifies each computer using the Internet Protocol to communicate over a network. used for this login attempt.
• User Agent is a user agentUser agent is software (a software agent) that is acting on behalf of a user. One common use of the term refers to a web browser that retrieves, renders and facilitates end user interaction with Web content. used for this login attempt.
4. Click Close.

To view all users' login history, select Security > User Login History.

User login history records are shown page by page, with the maximum number of records per page configured in the users preferences.

To filter or search the user login history by one or more criteria, specify the following settings and click Search:

• User account's name or part of a name.
• Event Type.

  A user login event type can be one of the following:

  • Account Locked Temp.
  • Login Failure.
  • Log Out.
  • Login Success.
  • Password Reset.
  • Session Expiry.
• Space.
• IP Address is a user agent's IP addressIP address is a unique string of numbers separated by full stops that identifies each computer using the Internet Protocol to communicate over a network. used for this login attempt.
• Start Date.
• End Date.

Click Clear to reset the search criteria.

Click Export Data to export the displayed data as a Microsoft Excel (XLS) file.
