Journey Manager (JM) The transaction engine for the platform. | System Manager / DevOps | All versions This feature is related to all versions.
As you work on a service by improving its functionality to meet new requirements, you often create a new version of the service to keep tracks of changes. At some stage, a service or its old version is not required any more, so you want to disable it. Manager provides you with the following options:
We recommend deactivating a service, rather than removing it.
To deactivate a service:
Clear the Active checkbox to make the service unavailable in various Manager's configurations by not showing it in the dropdown list of available services. This doesn't disable or deactivate the service itself, therefore existing forms will continue to use this service.
To reactivate the service, select its Active checkbox.
When you remove a service, Manager irrevocably deletes all data associated with the service, so it can not be restored. Therefore, we recommend backing up the service before deleting it.
To remove services in Core Global services, you must have the Core Service Edit permission.
To remove a service:
It is not recommended to delete a service that is the default for a service type.
