Create an Entity in the Entity Panel Exercise v17.10

Create a new Entity in the Entities panel by right-clicking where you want the new Entity to be placed.

Extra help is available at the end of this exercise if you get stuck.

Step 1: Create an Entity

1. Make sure the Exercise – Entities form is displayed in Design view.
2. From the Entities panel, right-click the ‘Entities’ icon and choose ‘Add Entity’
3. Enter ‘location’ for the Entity name and click Save
4. Confirm the new location Entity now appears in the panel.

Step 2: Create a nested Entity

1. From the Entities panel, right-click the ‘location’ Entity and choose ‘Add Entity’
2. Enter phone for the new Entity name and click Save.
3. Expand the location Entity to display the new nested phone Entity.
4. Add a new ‘Text Field’ component to the form below ‘Email’
5. Enter the ID as ‘HomePhone’ and relate this component to the nested ‘phone’ Entity
6. From the ‘Entities’ panel, confirm ‘Home Phone’ is related to the nested ‘phone’ Entity
7. Click Save.
