This article describes an observed behavior in Collaboration Jobs where a step configured with an expiry time of less than five minutes does not expire as expected. The issue was identified while investigating a use case involving delays in the Job Controller expiry process.

Problem
This issue was identified in the Job Controller's expiry step, and arises when a one-minute expiry step takes an unexpectedly long time of 6-7 minutes to complete. This delay can occur in the wait time after the submission of a form, while decision logic is being processed, before proceeding to the next step.
Resolution
There is a limitation in the collaboration jobs where the minimum expiry time for a step in the collaboration job is 5 minutes. Do not set the job action wait to less than 5 minutes.
