We are pleased to announce the Journey Platform 26.04 release. It is a major release of Manager and Workspaces, and is comprised of new features and bug fixes.


Journey Manager

The Journey Manager 26.04 major release introduces the following key new features and enhancements:

  • Service Connection Encryption
    TJM now stores service connection details as encrypted values providing a more secure model that aligns with how we store important data. Details are stored using our existing configurable data storage services.

  • OTP authentication
    TJM now supports login to select spaces via OTP. This functionality can be configured to use a number of cloud service integrations for OTP generation and verification. 
  • Cayenne Upgrade 4.2.3
    The Apache Cayenne ORM framework has been upgraded to version 4.2.3, delivering performance improvements and compatibility with the latest platform dependencies. 

  • WildFly 39 Upgrade
    Journey Manager has been upgraded to WildFly 39, bringing improved Jakarta EE support, performance enhancements, and the latest security patches. 

  • AWS SDK V2 Migration
    The AWS SDK has been migrated from V1 to V2, providing improved performance, non-blocking I/O, and better support for modern AWS services including KMS access via AWS profiles.

  • XSRF Response Headers
    XSRF tokens are now included in response headers to be handled by the client side, improving cross-site request forgery protection. 

  • Applicants Space WAR
    The Applicants space has been split out into its own WAR file, improving modularity and deployment flexibility.

  • DB Integrity Checker Performance
    The Database Integrity Checker has been significantly improved for performance, enabling faster validation of database consistency.

Journey Workspaces

The Journey Workspaces 26.04 major release introduces the following key new features and enhancements:

  • Notes classification for clearer sharing boundaries (Internal vs Public)
    This feature lets bankers’ separate staff-only notes from applicant-shareable notes.

  • A new Workspaces ↔ Form communication framework
    This new feature includes:

    • In-line customer handoff actions to pass customer actions to applicants directly from Workspaces. 

    • Dynamic workspace reloading based on real-time form changes from sidesheet loaded within Workspaces.

    • Dynamic sidesheet configuration (title + width) to improve readability for complex forms.
    • Message queuing support to reliably handle multiple simultaneous events from forms without UI conflicts.
  • Custom card enhancements to speed up assisted workflows
    These enhancements include:

    • Dynamic task creation from custom cards, with immediate task opening.

    • Row-level custom actions for table-based custom cards (e.g., resume applicant, remove applicant).
  • Dynamic theming & branding improvements
    These enhancements include:

    • Portal theming via Journey Setup Tool variables for consistent branding across Workspaces and Applicants.

    • Runtime branding resolution based on user-level, org-level, and default app configuration to support multi-brand deployments.
  • Journey Applicant improvements for assisted completion
    These enhancements include:
    • OTP login (SMS/Email) for secure, frictionless authentication.
    • Deep linking to ToDo tasks to take applicants directly to the relevant task after login (bypassing the dashboard).
  • Configuration editor enhancements
    These enhancements now support debugging tools for debugging configuration issues and allows editing configurations on the fly with a runtime preview.
